With early voting now closed and Election Day only one week away I want to express the importance of this vote.
You may not have students in the public system, but the winner of this election will get paid with your tax dollars and will play a role in deciding how approximately $9 million dollars of taxpayer money is spent!
I entered this race because I believe I can make a difference in our education system for the better.
For far too long the TDSB has been plagued by scandalous behaviour. It is in desperate need of a voice that will make the call for fiscal accountability.
After years of being forced to navigate my way through the obscene red-tape in the Toronto District School Board as a parent of a child with special needs, I came to a clear and present realization: It should not be this hard. Parents should not have to wrestle to obtain the best possible education for their children. Special needs parents need a voice at the Board level. I propose to be that voice.
But more than that, the Board needs a voice. It needs your voice.
